Access control specialist Paxton has, for the second consecutive year, been named among The Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to Work for.
Ranking 91 it remains the only UK physical security manufacturer to make the list. The Brighton-based company, which specialises in IP access control and building automation systems, debuted at 49 in the 2018 rankings.
Run by ‘Best Companies’, The Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to Work for champions organisations that provide an enjoyable, rewarding working environment with clear opportunities for career progression.
Judges were particularly impressed by glowing feedback from Paxton employees around leadership, culture and community work.
The survey of Paxton employees, some of whom attended an awards ceremony last week to mark the achievement, revealed that:
- 94% agree that the company encourages charitable events
- 92% believe they can make a valuable contribution to the company’s success
- 87% feel proud to work for Paxton

It has won a Sussex Super Growth Award, Best Large Company at the Brighton and Hove Independent Business Awards, Company of the Year at Brighton and Hove Business Awards, and Manufacturer of the Year at the Eastbourne Business Awards.
The company has 300 employees based in offices in the UK, US, France, Germany, South Africa, Scandinavia, the Middle East and Benelux.
Paxton solutions like the Net2 door entry system and the access control, IP video management and building automation system Paxton10 are installed in 25,000 buildings a year globally.
